One of the reasons the Colegio de España has obtained its international prestige and a great quality in teaching is thanks to its teaching staff.  All our teachers are native speakers, with university degrees, specific formation and a wide experience in Spanish Language and Spanish and Hispano-American Culture Teaching in different contexts to a great variety of students, going from young students to Spanish teachers as as second language.

 

M-Teresa-GonzalezMª Teresa González Alonso.

Director of the Colegio de España since 2005 and teachers since 1983, with a University degree in Geography and History (speciality in Art History) from the University of Salamanca. She teaches Spanish and Hispano-Amiercan Civilization, Art and Traditions,  Physics Geography and Economics.  She has delivered various conferences on art and history both in Spain and in the United States. She is the author of “Cuaderno de Ejercicios- B1”, of “Cuaderno de Esquemas” of the "Tradiciones de España course and of “Cuaderno de Apuntes” of Spanish Art History. Co-author of the publication “Guía artística de Salamanca” (Editions 1989,1999,2002) and Art teacher, accompanying students during the tours of the city and trips organized by the Colegio de España and the Cultural Institution “Alfonso X, el Sabio".

 

 

BBlanca-Marcoslanca Marcos González

Head of Studies, teacher at the Colegio since 1987. She has a University Degree in Spanish Filology from the University of Salamanca. Apart from her experience as a Spanish Language Teachers, she teaches Grammar and Methodology Courses to Spanish teachers from all over the world and Writing, Composition and Spelling. She is the teacher in charge of the DELE Preparatory Courses since their creation and she is recognized as a DELE examinator by the Cervantes Institute. Co-author of the books “Los verbos Españoles” and “Manual de Ortografía”. She is author of "Cuaderno de Ejercicios- DELE" and co-author of "Cuaderno de Ejercicios- B2 y C2".

  

 

Covadonga-LlorenteCovadonga Llorente Vigil

Teacher at the Colegio since 1986, with a University Degree in Spanish Filology from the University of Salamanca. Apart from the Spanish Language Courses, she has taught different grammar courses to Spanish teachers from all over the world. She has also been a speaker at the "VII Congreso brasileño de profesores de español" at Belo Horizonte (Brasil) and she has delivered conferences at the "Centro Cultural Brasil-España de Curitiva" (Brasil). She is author of the book  “Las perífrasis verbales”, co-author of “Los verbos españoles”, of “Ser y estar. Verbos atributivos” (Editions Colegio de España)  and of “Cuaderno de Ejercicios- B2 y C1”.

  

  

 Carmen-PerezCarmen Pérez Sanz

Teacher at the Colegio de España since 1990, with a University Degree in Spanish Filology from the University of Salamancaes. Apart from the Spanish Language Courses, she teaches Spanish and Hispano-American Civilization and Culture Classes.  She directs and coordinates since 1992 the prestigious Literary and Cultural Magazin  “Cuadernos del Lazarillo” edited by the publishing house Ambos Mundos of Colegio de España. She is the author of "Cuaderno de Ejercicios- A2".

 

 

 

Ascension-Ruiz-VegaAscensión Ruiz Vega
Teacher at the Colegio since 1987, with a University Degree in Geography and History (speciliaty Art History) from the Autonomous University in Madrid. Apart from the Spanish Language Courses, she teaches History of Spain and Latin-Amercia and collaborates as an accompanying during the tours of the city. Author of “Cuaderno de Ejercicios -A1” and layout of “Cuadernos de Recursos Didácticos de la Historia de España del siglo XV al XX”.

  

 

 

Rosa-M-CasillasRosa Mª Casillas Garrido

Teacher at the Colegio since 1989, with a University Degree in Education Science from the University of Salamanca. Apart from the Spanish Language Courses, she teaches the course Composition, Writing and Spelling in Spanish ”. Co-author of  Cuadernos de Ejercicios- B2 y C1”.

 

 

 

  

 Nieves-Garcia-OrtigosaNieves del Pilar García Ortigosa

Teacher at the Colegio since 1993, with a University Degree in Education Science (speciality Special Education, professsional and scholars orientation) from the Univerisity of Salamanca. Apart from the Spanish Language Courses, she has coordinated the Spanish Language Courses for High-School and some other programs from Northern-American universities.
